Thisseasonbeganmerelytwowholeweeksafterthefirstseasonhadended,onApril19,2008,withtheairingofTheEliteGuard,andendedonJuly5,2008,withthetwo-parter,ABridgeTooClose.TheseasonrevolvedmainlyaroundtheAutobotsintheaftermathofMegatron'sreturn,tryingtorestorethecityandtheirimage.Meanwhile,Megatron,Lugnut,andBlitzwinghavecapturedProf.SumdacinordertobuildaSpaceBridge,hopingtouseittoconqueraweakenedCybertronfromwithin.Asub-plotalsofocusesonSariasshesearchesforherfather,whilelearningthatthereisnorecordofherexistenceofanymeans.Also,Blackarachnia(originallyElitaOne)hasbeenreducedtoaminorrecurringcharacter,onlyappearinginoneepisodeoftheentireseason(BlackFriday).
